Trying to keep game ‘bin-going’

GROVE CITY — All are invited to play bingo from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays year-round at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 5265 Placida Road in Grove City. Proceeds benefit the church. According to Joe Lemire, head of bingo, the church is trying to keep bingo going but is struggling with snowbirds leaving the area. Snowbirds comprise almost half the attendance for Monday bingo in season at around 100. With snowbirds gone, up to 60 attend on average. The church has been offering bingo since opening in 1978. For more information on bingo, call the church at 941-697-4899.
