Celebrating Trees

Alice White, a third-grade teacher at Vineland Elementary School in Rotonda West, taught Michelle Brady’s class about red cedars and other trees Friday as part of the school’s Fourth Annual Earth Day Celebration. White is the founder and leader of the North Port-based environmental group, People for Trees . With her are Hunter Todd, Jacob Alexander, Ashton Sullen, Jacob Foster, Liam Porter, Ryan Day and Jackson Hood.

Tom Chang is a freelance journalist with a background in multimedia journalism and web publishing. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Journalism and Media Studies from the University of South Florida St.Petersburg.
